KUDOS TO OUR MEMBERS!!!

Congratulations to Betty Beamguard and Irene Honeycutt!!!

Betty Beamguard, who has already written three features for The Writer, has another due for publication later in the year, and has just received word that they want a fifth written around J.L Miles’ novel, Roseflower Creek. This month Betty had two short stories accepted, “The Stranger Watched” for the Magnolia Quarterly, a publication for members of the Gulf Coast Writers Association and “Ina Galbreath Remembers” for the November/December issue of the e-zine, A Southern Journal. One of her humorous anecdotes appears in the July/August issue of Writers’ Journal, and her short fiction “Me and Buff” is now out in the anthology, Teacakes and Afternoon Tales: New Stories from Mississippi, an excellent and varied collection of Southern stories.
