2008-2009 Anthology - Journey Without
Book Presentation Tentative Schedule May 2009
CWC is currently seeking submissions of poetry, prose, photography and artwork for the 2009 Anthology, Journey Without, exploring the theme of writers as seekers, teachers, adventurers, peacemakers, connectors, travelers, well, the possibilities are endless! Any writing based on the idea of going beyond ourselves, beyond our comfort zones, limits, boundaries, will be considered. Submissions should meet normal guidelines as follow:
- Send 3 copies, typed, manuscript form, double-spaced (poetry should be single-spaced), 12 pt font, Times New Roman or similar. Prose 4000 words max, poetry 50 lines max.
- Name must not appear on manuscript!
- Include an index card or separate cover with name, title of submission, address, phone number and email.
- You may submit up to 5 poems and 3 prose pieces, however, only one work per author will be published.
- Charlotte Writers' Club Editors reserve the right to accept or reject any submission.
- Manuscripts will NOT be critiqued. However, some editing may be necessary for those accepted for publication.
- You must be a member to submit, however, membership dues ($30 per individual) will be accepted with submission. This will cover the 2008-2009 season.
- Manuscripts accepted will need to be resubmitted electronically.
- Do not send your only original copy. After the submissions are chosen, the balance will be destroyed.

For Photography and artwork, please send a 5x7 print or copy with only the title printed on the back. Include a separate index card with name, address, email, phone number and title of piece.
- Submissions must be postmarked by September 16, 2008. May also be given to Annie Maier at the September 16th meeting.
